Dr. Veyasen Pyneeandee is a gynaecologist and obstetrician with 3 decades of experience in obstetrics, advanced gynaecological surgery, and gynae oncology cases. He is also a breast cancer specialist surgeon and reconstructive plastic surgeon in this domain. He has a speciality in aesthetics medicine and anti-aging medicine, as well as a speciality in hair transplant surgery from Lyon (France).

He is a distinguished Level 6 advanced laparoscopic surgeon with nearly two decades of consultant-level experience. He is recognised for his expertise in complex laparoscopic procedures, including complex hysterectomy, adnexal and ovarian surgery, and the surgical management of severe endometriosis. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Pyneeandee contributes significantly to the profession through the mentorship and training of colleagues in advanced laparoscopic techniques.

Professional Experience & Training

He was trained at Paris University XI and became a young interne des hôpitaux de Paris. His dedication throughout his speciality training led his professors to recommend his speciality training in the UK via a scholarship at the famous St Bartholomew's Hospital. His UK rotation as a specialist SHO and registrar took him through renowned hospitals like Homerton, where he dealt with 15,000 deliveries of tertiary level obstetrics.

His rotation in Southend Hospital gave him the experience to deal with high-risk obstetrics cases. He also participated in the early discharge of hysterectomy 24hrs programme in the UK, where he and his consultant in charge, Mr. Cheng Lee, received an award for reducing the cost of beds in the NHS. He presented this achievement at the age of 30 as a surgeon at the Monaco Congress, together with Mr. Cheng Lee.

His training in oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital with Prof. John Shepherd, urologist Bill Henry, and Dr. Woodhouse led him to subspecialise in gynae oncology, where he completed a year of specialist registrar training at the famous Monash University in Melbourne.

He came to practice in Mauritius due to family circumstances instead of taking his consultant job in Bristol, UK. However, due to his high specialist training, he was appointed as a gynaecology specialist in Reunion Island where he could perform at a higher level due to the facilities. There he was trained in IVF and advanced 4D ultrasound in obstetrics.

He has worked in Mauritius and Reunion for 15 years and now, due to his experience, he works as a visiting consultant in Delhi and Mumbai hospitals in robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He also works with IVF teams for Mauritian patients.

Dr. Pyneeandee performed IVF on a 62-year-old patient in 2017, setting a record for Mauritius. This was hugely broadcasted throughout the world as the 3rd oldest record. The child is now 8 years old and in good health, as are the parents. Since then, he has achieved 44 pregnancies for patients above 45 years old. He is a well-established infertility specialist and his aim is to help couples overcome their difficulties in becoming parents.

He has also been trained in hair transplants and aesthetics anti-aging medicine in Paris, France. He has been practicing thread lifts, botox, hyaluronic injections, all laser procedures, and cosmetic gynaecology procedures for 15 years.
